To give a fillip to tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir, sporting marvel hover rafting has been introduced on river Tawi in the state.
The government is introducing new activities in a bid to fully tap tourism potential of the state, state minister for Tourism and Culture Nawang Rigzin Jora said here yesterday.
The government will encourage public-private partnership to promote tourism in the state, Jora said, adding all logistic and financial support with attractive incentives will be provided to persons interested in setting up their ventures in the sector.
The minister said the government will consider extending the adventure sport on other rivers of Kashmir and Ladakh to encourage more domestic and foreign adventure lovers to visit the state.
