Narendra Modi today made light of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's remarks that he did not see any Modi wave, saying how can he visualise it if he did not notice inflation, unemployment and corruption during his 10-year rule.
"I want to ask the Prime Minister a question: 'Dus sal mein unko mehengai, berozgari, bhrastachar nazar nehi aya, toh ye lehar kahan se nazar ayega (how can he see a Modi wave when in 10 years he could not see inflation, unemployment and corruption)?" Modi said at an election rally here in Hooghly district.
The BJP's prime ministerial candidate was reacting to Singh's comment at a rally in Dispur in Assam on April 24 in which he had said he did not see any Modi wave and it was the creation of the media.
"You don't see anything on your own, you see through the eyes of mother and son. So how can you see the Modi wave," he said in an oblique reference to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul.
