HuJI claims responsibility for Delhi blast, says NIA

The Pakistan-based terror outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami has sent a mail claiming responsibility for the blast outside Delhi High Court this morning. The email is being verified by the NIA.

The Pakistan-based terror outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI) has sent a mail claiming responsibility for the blast outside Delhi High Court this morning.

The National Investigations Agency chief said that the HuJI email is being verified.

A 20-member NIA team headed by DIG to probe the case.

"We are seriously looking into the claim of Harkat-ul-Jehadi which took responsibility for the blast," said the NIA chief.

The HuJI are behind the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack at Chabad House in Colaba.

The government has handed over the Delhi high court blast case to the NIA.

NIA DG SC Sinha said a notification to this effect has been issued.

Eleven people were killed and scores injured when what is suspected to be a briefcase bomb went off outside Gate number 5 of the Delhi high court on Wednesday morning.
