The Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India (ICAI) postponed the exams in the wake of Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The Chartered Accountants Examinations were initially scheduled from 2 May 2019 till 17 May 2019. Now, the exams will be held from 27 May 2019 to 12 June 2019. ICAI released a notification on the official website www.icai.org.
In an official statement released on Monday, ICAI said, “It is hereby notified for general information that in view of Elections to the 17th Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituencies across the country, the Chartered Accountant Examinations initially scheduled from 2 May 2019 to 17 May 2019 stand rescheduled and the said examinations shall now be held from 27 May 2019 till 12 June 2019 as per details are given below."
NEW SCHEDULE:
- The foundation course examination under the new scheme will be held on June 4, 7, 9 and 11, 2019.
- The intermediate (IPC) course examination under old scheme will be held for Group-I on May 28, 30 and June 1 and 3. The intermediate (IPC) course examination under old scheme will be held for Group-II on June 6, 8 and 10.
- The intermediate (IPC) course examination under the new scheme will be held for Group-I on May 28, 30 and June 1 and 3. The intermediate (IPC) course examination under new scheme will be held for Group-II on June 6, 8, 10 and 12, 2019.
- There will be no examination on June 5 due to Id-ul-Fitr. The last date for submission of exam forms stands amended as follows:
- Last date for submission of exam forms without late fee: 16th March 2019
- Last date for submission of exam forms with late fee: 23 rd March 2019
