‘India scripts history’: PM Modi lauds doctors, nurses on 100 crore vaccination feat

PM Modi expresses his gratitude to doctors and nurses for their efforts to achieve India’s 100 crore vaccination target today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recognized the efforts of the healthcare workers today and expressed his gratitude towards doctors and nurses as India crossed the milestone of administering 100 crore vaccine doses to the public to beat the COVID-19 pandemic.

PM Modi took to social media to laud the remarkable effort made by the doctors, nurses, and the citizens of India that made achieving this milestone possible for the nation. He also talked about how achieving this milestone is a “triumph of Indian science.”

Through his official Twitter handle, PM Modi said, “India scripts history. We are witnessing the triumph of Indian science, enterprise, and collective spirit of 130 crore Indians. Congrats India on crossing 100 crore vaccinations. Gratitude to our doctors, nurses, and all those who worked to achieve this feat."

 

 

PM Modi and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya have reached the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi today to mark this occasion. The prime minister and health minister interacted with the healthcare workers at the hospital and thanked them for their efforts amid the COVID-19 vaccination drive.

A huge celebratory campaign has been announced by the central government to mark the occasion of administering 100 crore vaccines in India, which include announcements on airplanes, metros, ships and railway stations when the milestone is achieved.

A song and an audiovisual film will also be launched today by Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya today to mark the occasion. The song which will be launched today has been sung by renowned singer and Padma Shri awardee Kailash Kher.
