India and the United States are natural partners moving in the evolutionary path of partnership, Vijay Darda, Rajya Sabha member and chairman and managing director of Lokmat group of newspapers, said here.

"India and US are natural allies and it is accepted universally. We are in the evolutionary path of partnership," he said during an interactive session with a delegation of visiting students from McComes School of Business, University of Texas, yesterday."We are a part of the global society, our relation shouldn't be just on the basis of economic growth but also on humanity," Darda said.

The Congress MP said, "The relationship of the US with Pakistan is understandable but US should understand that Pakistan is the root of terror and cannot be a part of the solution."Darda talked about issues like India post liberalisation, Indian culture and civilisation, pollution, challenges faced by India and separate statehood, while answering the queries posed by the students.Speaking about the challenges facing the young professionals in the country, he said, "I believe in the power of youth...I think they bring genetic freshness to a society...there are various challenges that youth face due to challenging careers".The delegation comprising 30 students from the MBA programme of the McComes School of Business was led by faculty member of the University of Texas, John Gramas.
