"It is my first time. It is like a dream," Bruni told reporters when asked to comment on her visit.

"It is like a dream". This is how French first lady Carla Bruni described her visit to India along with President Nicholas Sarkozy that began today.

"It is my first time. It is like a dream," Bruni told reporters when asked to comment on her visit.

Later in the day, the French First Couple visited the Taj Mahal, described by the President as a "monument to eternity".

Sarkozy had visited India alone in January 2008 when he was invited as the chief guest to the Republic Day Parade.

A quick getaway to the Taj Mahal in Agra was organized for him then. Sarkozy, who was courting Bruni then, could not bring her on the visit due to protocol issues.

But Sarkozy kept hopes alive of his returning to India with Bruni as he had then said in a farewell message at the architectural marvel — "See you soon again".
