Defence minister AK Antony said past experience and track-record shows that instead of using the American military aid in the fight against Taliban, Pakistan is diverting it against India.

India today said it will continue to take up the issue of Pakistan diverting American military aid against it with the US till the time there is a "final solution" to the problem.

Defence minister AK Antony said past experience and track-record shows that instead of using the American military aid in the fight against Taliban, Pakistan is diverting it against India.

"This is a matter of serious concern. We have already conveyed it to them (US) and continue to do so until and unless we find a final solution," he said when asked if India had conveyed its concerns to the US on the issue.

India has been raising the issue with top US leadership in the recent past after it was found that Pakistan Army was diverting weapons and equipment supplied by the US for fighting the Taliban on its western frontiers to its eastern frontiers against India.

The defence minister was talking to reporters after laying a wreath at the Amar Jawan Jyoti on Vijay Diwas commemorating the surrender by Pakistan Army before Indian forces in Dhaka on December 16, 1971.

He said the armed forces should re-dedicate themselves for protecting the nation's integrity.

On this day, Pakistan Army's Lt Gen AAK Niazi surrendered with his 93,000 men before Indian troops led by the then Eastern Army Commander Lt Gen Jagjit Singh Aurora in Dhaka.
