The Mathura police have registered an FIR against the CEO of e-commerce site IndiaMART, and two others for allegedly selling Govardhan rocks on their website.

The case was registered based on a complaint by Mathura-based social worker Keshav Mukhia at Govardhan police station on February 7.
A large number of residents had demonstrated in front of Govardhan police station and demanded the arrest of officials of the web portal for hurting their sentiments.
According to media reports, the police said that IndiaMART's website claimed that the rocks were "natural" and its price was quoted as Rs 5,175 per piece.
A saint from Mathura, Siya Ram Baba has condemned IndiaMART's act saying, "A company cannot put it for sale as a product and they should stop this practice."
The Uttar Pradesh Brahmin Mahasabha will meet Mathura DM on Monday calling for strict action against the company and the supplier.
