Indian Navy released the official notification on its website inviting application by unmarried male candidates to apply for the role of Artificer Apprentice (AA) and Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR).
Interested candidates can apply for these jobs by logging on to the Indian Navy's official website — joinindiannavy.gov.in
Applications for AA and SSR February 2020 batches will be filed through online mode till 10 July 2019.
Educational Qualifications criteria
1. AA - Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths, Physics and any one of the subjects out of Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science or more from any board of school education recognized by the Government of India.
2. SSR - Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths and Physics and any one of the subjects out of Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science or more from any board of school education recognized by the Government of India.
Selection Criteria:
AA — Selection of recruits is based on the all India order of merit on their performance in Computer-based examination, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.
SSR — Selection of recruits is based on State-wise merit of their performance in Computer-based Examination, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.
The Computer-Based Test (CBT) will have 100 questions carrying one marks each.
The question paper will be bilingual and will contain four sections — English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
The duration of the exam will be for one hour.
Steps to apply for Indian Navy:
1. Register to the official website — www.joinindiannavy.gov.in with the email id.
2. Candidates must ensure that while filing the application form that they are providing valid email ids and phone number.
3. After logging on to the official website click on "Current Opportunities"
4. Click on the "Apply" button.
5. Online applications will be scrutinized for eligibility and could be rejected at any stage if any of the selection criteria is not fulfilled.
Currently, there is a vacancy for 500 AA posts and 2200 SSR posts.
