Indore: Over 50 localities to face power cut next week

More than 50 residential localities of the city will face power cuts up to four hours daily in the next week due to feeder maintenance works.

The western region power distribution company would start maintenance of 11KV feeder from Friday. The residential areas situated in western region would face power cuts from 8.30am to 12.30pm.

Though the power company is enforcing power cuts for
undertaking feeder maintenance but maintenance of power supply lines and transformers would also be done ahead of ensuing Ganesh Chaturthi festival in which various organisations take out tableau in the night long procession in the city.

The company aims to ensure that power supply remains unhindered and proper illumination is ensured in the city during the festival.

The maintenance task has been assigned to teams of technical employees by the company.

On September 6, affected areas would be Kanchanbai Hostel, Sheetlamata market and Mukeripura. On September 7, Bajajkhana Chowk, Marothia market and Bohra Bakhal would face power cut.

Pandhrinath, Nandlalpura, Jawahar Marg, Dhan Gali, Bata Road, Mohanpura etc would face temporary black out on September 8, while Harsiddhi, Machhi Bazaar and Ghoda Gali would face power cut on September 9.

On September 10, Chandrabhaga, Reshamwala Line and Pandhrinath police station would face load shedding, while Hamilton Road, Ganji compound, IMC, Subhash Marg and Shivaji Market would be in dark on September 11.

Bakshi Bagh, Ahilya Paltan, Bajaria, old SP Office, Khajuri bazaar and Khutal Complex would face power cut on September 12 and Dilip Singh Colony, Bhisti Mohalla, Sadar Bazaar, Juna Risala and Sikandarabad areas would be facing cut on September 13.
