J-K Earthquake: Back-to-back quakes strike Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 struck Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
Two consecutive earthquakes measuring 4.9 and 4.8 on the Richter scale shook Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir early on Tuesday morning, as reported by the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
The first earthquake of 4.9 magnitude struck on the Ritcher scale occurred at a depth of around 6:45 am. Following shortly after, a second tremor measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale occurred at a depth of approximately 10 km, as confirmed by the NCS.
Meanwhile, no casualties or major damage have been reported so far. Officials are closely monitoring the situation for any additional updates or changes.
