Supporters of two leaders scuffle in PCC meet held at party office.

Assembly elections are over in the state, but neither the leaders nor the office bearers of Congress party seem to have digested the outcome. After the incidents of scuffling among partymen during the party’s introspection meetings by the Jodhpur and Jaipur DCCs, the frustration now has reached at the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) level too.

The function of foundation’s day ceremony of Congress too was marred by a similar incident on Saturday in Jaipur when an office-bearer wanted to address the gathering but was denied by senior leaders.

The incident occurred during the seminar that was conducted at the PCC office when Riyazat Ali, state secretary of the Legal Cell expressed his desire to address the gathering but was stopped by the chief of the wing and state general secretary Sushil Sharma.

Immediately after PCC chief’s addressed, Ali stood up and said that party workers should also be given chance to speak. He was asked to sit down by several leaders.

Later when the programme was about to conclude, Ali he stood again and tried to snatch the mike from Sushil Sharma. Later supporters from both sides came to rescue of their leaders and started scuffling with each other. Ali alleged that Sharma was responsible for defeat of party candidates at a couple of constituencies. On the other hand Sharma said that Ali was settling his personal scores. The PCC chief said he had left by the time incident occurred. He said that he has sought a detailed report about the incident.
