Jaipur princess Diya Kumari has filed for divorce in order to end her 21-year-old marriage with Narendra Singh. Kumari who is the daughter of erstwhile Jaipur Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh has filed her divorce application in a family court. The matter will be heard in court a few weeks later. The couple has three kids including two sons.
The couple married in 1997 after dating for close to a decade. Diya Kumari is outgoing BJP MLA from Sawai Madhopur, though she was denied ticket in the current election. Reacting to the news, Diya Kumari said that the decision to file for divorce has been taken after mutual consent. According to her, the entire decision has been taken for the welfare of the family. She also urged everyone to respect their privacy. The couple were living separately for some time and have now decided to part ways.
