Although Hafiz Saeed insists that JuD is a welfare organisation with no links to militant groups, the UN insists that it is a front for the LeT.

Despite being declared a terrorist organisation by the United Nations, Hafiz Saeed-led ISI-backed militant group Lashkar-e-Toiba, now renamed as Jamaat-ul-Dawa (JD), has been openly collecting donations this Ramadan to fund its so-called jehadi activities in Jammu & Kashmir.

Although Hafiz Saeed insists that JuD is a welfare organisation with no links to militant groups, the UN insists that it is a front for the LeT.

On August 5 this year, the Pakistani interior ministry issued a list of 25 religious and welfare groups that are not allowed to take part in fund raising activities during the holy month of Ramadan.

In previous years, the JuD had set up camps all over the city of Lahore soliciting donations during Ramzan.
