Taking a potshot at Congress on issues like corruption and inflation, senior BJP leader Satyanarayan Sattan targeted the opposition party in his trademark poetic style on the last day of the campaigning on Saturday. While addressing public rallies in support of BJP candidate from Sanwer, Rajesh Sonkar, he said, “Janata trast hai Congress mast hai (Public is feeling tortured while the Congress is in joyous mood)”.
‘Ghotale pe ghotale karna inka khel hai, Ghotalon se chal rahi Alibaba Chalis chor ki rail hai,’ he continued amid loud laughter from the public. He also used satire to take a dig at Prime Minister during his poll speeches.
The crowd cheered Sattan with repeated applause. Sattan recounted former MLA late Prakash Sonkar and said that the latter had envisaged development for Sanwer, a dream which the BJP would fulfill.
The senior BJP leader claimed that now Rajesh Sonkar has pledged to work for the region.
He targeted at local Congress MLA Tulsiram Silawat by claiming that Tulsi (Basil) should remain at Almighty’s feet but here Tulsi (MLA) remains at Maharaja’s (Jyotiraditya Scindia’s) feet.
“Public should oust Tulsi (MLA) from Sanwer, the only area would prosper,” he exhorted the voters.
He ridiculed Congress party by saying that leaders of this party fear chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan even in their dreams.
Chouhan has formulated people-oriented policies which have turned Congress leaders sleep deprived. He also claimed that Chouhan considers public as his God and remains busy in serving them day and night. Announcing that the state would once again elect BJP government, Sattan urged public for electing Rajesh Sonkar in Sanwer, so that all around development could be ensured.
Significantly, BJP’s ticket denial to Sattan had enraged him and he only entered the campaigning on the last day of the deadline on Saturday.
