A jawan died after he slipped into a gorge during patrolling near the LoC in Balakote sector of Poonch district, police said here today.
Lance Naik Virender Singh of 39 Rashtriya Rifle (RR) slipped into the gorge when a party of troops was patrolling Balakote sector, about 180-kms from Jammu.
The body of the jawan has been retrieved from the gorge and sent for post-mortem, they said.
