Jawan injured in IED blast near LoC in Poonch

An army jawan was injured today when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.

An army jawan was injured today when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, police  sources said here.
    
The IED exploded when a vehicle carrying Rashtriya Rifle (RR) troops was going along a road near a canal in Subzian area about 205 km from here in the district at around 9.30 am this morning, they said.
    
The driver of the vehicle received minor injuries as the splinters of the side window panes of the vehicle broken by the explosion hit him.
    
However, the pressurised IED, planted by militants, did not cause much damage to the vehicle, they added.
