Janata Dal (United) MLA Shyam Pyari Devi died today of cancer at her residence in Buxar district, her family sources said.
She was 56 and is survived by two sons and three daughters.
Devi had been suffering from cancer for several years and had undergone treatment in the All India Institute of Medical science, New Delhi.
She was elected from Rajpur Assembly constituency in Buxar district on a JD(U) ticket.
