Rashtriya Janata Dal today received a shot in the arm ahead of Bihar assembly polls with senior JD(U) leader and former vice-chairman of the state Legislative Council Virendra Kumar Choudhary today joining the former.
Choudhary, along with his supporters and JD(U) activists from Madhubani, took the membership from RJD president Lalu Prasad.
State RJD chief Abdul Bari Siddiqui and secretary general Ramkripal Yadav, MP, were also present.
Welcoming Choudhary and others into the party fold, Prasad said it would further strengthen the party in Mithilanchal belt in Bihar.
He appealed to all those who deserted his party and joined other parties to return as 'we are ready to accept them with open heart'.
