JEE (Advanced) results 2015 declared; MP boys bag top three positions

Three boys from Madhya Pradesh have secured top three positions in the JEE (Advanced) with topper among girls also being from the same state.

The results of India’s most prestigious engineering entrance exam JEE (Advanced) were declared Wednesday night to the media. Students can access their results on the website tomorrow at 10 am. 

Satvat Jagwani from Satna who is ranked first in India has scored 469 marks out of 504. Janak Agrawal and Mukesh Pareekh, both from Indore bagged second and third position respectively.

Krati Tiwari who emerged as the topper among 3,049 girls who cracked the exam also hails from Indore. She has got an all India rank of 47. Chinmay Sahoo from Pune topped in the OBC-NCL-Disabled category.

Overall, 26,456 candidates have been declared successful from among 1.24 lakh candidates who appeared in the two-levels of exam held in April and May.

This means one in every five candidate managed to clear the test. Among the selected ones, 11.5% are girls, a percentage which is almost similar to previous years.

IIT Bombay zone has got maximum 6,838 candidates among successful followed by Chennai zone (4,921) and Delhi zone (4,511). 

Over 10,000 seats are available for admissions this year for various undergraduate courses in 16 IITs and few other national institutes.
