Flights of both airlines were disrupted from April 15 following the closure of airports in Europe due to a cloud of volcanic ash.

Jet Airways, India's top private carrier by sales, said it would resume direct flights to and from Mumbai and Delhi to London following the opening of Heathrow airport by the British Airports Authority.

The airline will also resume flights to and from the United States and Canada via its hub in Brussels with immediate effect, it said in a statement.

Kingfisher Airlines will also commence its flights to and from Heathrow, London, from Thursday, it said.

Flight operations for both airlines were disrupted from April 15 following the closure of airports in Europe due to a cloud of volcanic ash from an eruption in Iceland.
