A party worker of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha was shot dead today by unknown gunmen at Bandwan in Purulia district.
The police said the bullet-riddled body of Srikanta Hansda, 26, was recovered from a jungle near Makapali village this morning.
Hansda was picked up from home last night by some armed unknown persons, sources said.
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has called 12-hour Bandwan bandh tomorrow to protest Hansda's killing.
