“Our colleague Mohommad Saleem Shah was abducted and killed by terrorists in Kulgam. We condemn this cowardly act. We all stand by his family at this critical juncture”, tweeted Kashmir Zone Police.

“The initial investigation into the matter has indicated it is the handiwork of proscribed terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. We condemn such gruesome terror act and assure that the culprits shall be brought to justice,” said a police spokesman.

Shah had joined the services in 2016 and after completing his basic training he was posted to District Police Lines Pulwama. However, on Friday evening, terrorists stormed his house and abducted him at gun point before killing him mercilessly.
