Kamal Nath again speaks on Imarti Devi, clarifies why he called BJP minister 'item'

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath has clarified why he called MP Cabinet minister Imarti Devi an 'item.' He said that the item is not an unacceptable word and as he could not recall her name this occasion. So he said the MLA, who is the item here.

Madhya Pradesh's cabinet minister, Imarti Devi, is said to be creating a stir. Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath had called Imarti Devi as an item in a gathering, after which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came out on the streets. Former CM Kamal Nath said, 'When the list comes in the Lok Sabha or assembly, it is written item number-1, item number -2. The word item with any malice or I did not say with disrespect. The item is not an unacceptable word. I did not know the name on this occasion. I said to the MLA that those are the items here .. '

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath further said, 'Use of the item is common. This is a parliamentarily accepted word. It is used in the Legislative Assembly. So what has become disrespectful, I don't understand it." 

"They have nothing to showcase to the public. That is why to gather public attention, and an issue is being created out of my statement, Kamal Nath added, attacking the state BJP government. 

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath further said, "Today they go in front of the public. Give account ... your 15 years, your 7 months ... how much compensation did you give, how much loan was waived, how much employment was provided. Made a government and betrayed by bargaining and bidding ... They consider the people of Madhya Pradesh as fools. If I stop drinking coke, will I get employment? They have nothing to say.

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said, 'Shivraj Singh Chauhan is an actor. He should go to Mumbai, should act, and make a name for Madhya Pradesh. He has acted for many years, and people will now understand. On the question of Jyotiraditya Scindia joining BJP, Kamal Nath said that he could not digest defeat. He left as he was looking for another opportunity.
