Karaikal Struggle Group to stage fast tomorrow
The fast to be organised in Neduncadu near Karaikal would be headed by S Munusamy, organiser of the KSG (Neduncadu), a KSG release said today.
Members of the Karaikal Struggle Group (KSG) will stage a one-day fast tomorrow to press their demand for separate union territory status for Karaikal, now a part of Union Territory of Puducherry.The fast to be organised in Neduncadu near Karaikal would be headed by S Munusamy, organiser of the KSG (Neduncadu), a KSG release said today.It claimed the Puducherry government had been ignoring the development of Karaikal during the last 55 years.The KSG also opposed the proposed construction of airstrip in Neduncadu saying the project would deprive farmers of their sources livelihood and large tracts of farm lands would be lost
