With flood wreaking havoc in Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmiri Pandits have been busy collecting relief material for their brethren back in the Valley.
Moti Kaul, president of The All India Kashmiri Samaj yesterday collected relief material in Delhi for supplying at several places like Shivpora, Zeshta Devi Temple at Zeethyar, Indira Nagar, Tulsi Bagh and other areas in the Valley.
He also spoke to Union Home Ministry and NDMA (National Disaster Management Authority) officials, who assured all possible measures to bring relief to the flood affected people.
Expressing grief over the loss of lives and property due to floods in the state, AIKS also hailed the work of the defence personnel in the rescue operations.
"It is pertinent to mention that a number of volunteers of the RSS and BJP are already working tirelessly in Kashmir in providing a helping hand to the administration.
"Another party of such volunteers is leaving for Kashmir tomorrow," a statement issued by the AIKS said.
