Private air-carrier, Kingfisher Airlines, today commenced a daily direct air service between New Delhi and Ludhiana (Punjab).
The new service would be operated by the airline's budget arm, Kingfisher Red, a company press release said in Mumbai.
Kingfisher is currently the only private airline to offer services to Ludhiana.
Kingfisher Airlines’ flight IT-4361 will depart from New Delhi at 1.45 pm and arrive at Ludhiana at 2.45 pm while the return flight IT-4362 will take-off from Ludhiana at 3.15 pm and arrive at 4.15 pm in New Delhi, the release said.
"The new direct flight will offer travellers from Ludhiana a one-stop connection to Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Indore via New Delhi," Kingfisher Airlines' executive vice president (Commercial) Manoj Chako said, adding it would help many small and medium enterprises.
Kingfisher operates over 360 daily flights across 60 domestic and 8 overseas destinations.
