A car ran over pedestrians near Police Training School in Kolkata killing three and injuring seven on Monday afternoon.
The car jumped signal when it was coming from Hastings near the Police Training School turning and hit a motorcycle. It then hit two other vehicles and 10 pedestrians.
Three pedestrians died on the spot and others continue to be in a critical condition at a state-run hospital.
Meanwhile, two Bengal ministers Sovan Chatterjee and Bobby Hakim have rushed to the spots.
While the driver of the offending vehicle tried to flee from the spot, he was nabbed by the locals and handed over to the police.
