Metro train services remained suspended for nearly two hours this morning due to disruption in power supply near Sahid Khudiram station.

Metro train services remained suspended for nearly two hours this morning due to disruption in power supply near Sahid Khudiram station.

The track 'third rail' supplying power to trains broke near the Khudiram station, leading to suspension of services between the Mahanayak Uttam Kumar and Kabi Nazrul, metro railway spokesman P Dutta said.

A team of experts are repairing the third line and services are likely to resume soon, Dutta added.

Power failure was also reported in Dum Dum station at around 10.30 am leading to disruption of services  till Tollygunge station. However, power was restored 15 minutes later.
