Of all the four days, Monday was the least troublesome for Bachchan. He went for his scheduled shooting at the Mandvi beach and Vijay Vilas palace. He was presented with a sword by Pragmilji III of the Kutch royal family. After that he visited the ancestral home of freedom fighter Shyam Krishna Verma, which is situated in the heart of Mandvi city. The home has the ashes of Verma and his wife, which was specially brought by chief minister Narendra Modi from Geneva.

Anirudh Dave, the president of Mandvi Municipality, who received Bachchan, said that he was impressed when he saw the sand pictures of him and his father Harivanshrai. Bachchan appreciated the municipality's efforts in promoting sand art and added that it was comparable to those found on the Daytona Beach in the US.

Though the people of Mandvi were very excited at the visit of the superstar and waited patiently to get a glimpse of him since early morning, they could not even  view him from a distance, as no one was allowed to go near him. The entire area was cordoned off, like it was at all other places where he went for his shooting.

"I am a great fan of Amitabhji and had resolved to see him at any cost. The people of Mandvi waited for him in the city, and I went on my bike to Vijay Vilas palace, which is some 10 kms away. But despite all efforts I couldn't see him. I am very disappointed, as there may not be a second opportunity to see him here," said Niral Shah, a Mandvi youth. Many like Niral are unhappy at the way the entire area was cordoned off, which prevented them a once-in-a-life opportunity to view the Bollywood legend.
