Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut labeled the Ladla Bhai Scheme, recently announced by Eknath Shinde's Maharashtra government, as an election campaign gimmick. He challenged the Maharashtra government to offer Rs 10,000 to women instead of male students.
In an interview with ANI, Sanjay Raut was quoted as saying, "Ladla Bhai, Ladle Pitaji, Ladli Mataji, all of these offers are for the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections. There is no money in the government treasury. There is a debt of Rs 8 lakh crores on the Maharashtra government. After losing the Lok Sabha elections, the group of Shinde, Fadnavis, and Pawar are remembering Ladli Behen and Ladla Bhai. Ladli Behen needs it the most as she has to run the house... She should be given Rs 10,000 per month..."
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, on Wednesday, made a big announcement on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi. As per the new scheme, Ladla Bhai Yojana, students who have passed their 12th grade will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 6,000, diploma students will receive Rs 8,000, and graduates will be given Rs 10,000 monthly.
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said that this grant will be provided for a year to help students gain work experience through internships, subsequently improving their employability.
Sanjay Raut also spoke about the recent political events in Maharashtra ahead of the October elections and said, "I am unaware of Chhagan Bhujbal's meeting with Sharad Pawar and the resignations within NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). It's Sharad Pawar Ji's issue to handle."
