British film-maker Leslee Udwin has denied all claims by New Delhi that she broke a contract with Tihar Jail by airing the documentary India's Daughter on BBC, saying that the request for global ban has no legal or practical basis.

According to the BBC, the rapist, Mukesh Singh, shows no signs of remorse in the interview shown in "India's Daughter.

Singh said in the interview that the girl might have survived had she not fought back.

Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh has promised an inquiry into how access was gained to the prison, and threatened to take action against BBC for airing the film.
