LIC launches scholarships for students of economically weaker families

These scholarships will be for students who wish to study in government or private colleges in India.

The LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation has launched scholarships on All India basis for 20 students, 10 boys and 10 girls with the objective of providing better opportunities for students belonging to economically weaker families. 

The scholarship will be provided for students who want to study in government or private colleges in India. This will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training. They can look at courses in medicine, engineering, vocational courses, graduation in any discipline and diploma courses in any field. 

The applicant for the scholarship will be required to have a basic educational background of passing class X and XII and should have passed their previous final examination with not less than 60% marks which is mandatory for the selection. The annual income of their parents should also not exceed Rs 1,00,00 pa. as students having the lowest income will be given preference. The scholarship will also not be given to more than one student in the family.  

Students wishing to apply for the scholarship will be required to fill in the application form that is only available online and should be submitted by 23rd September.
