Senior BJP leader LK Advani last night cut short his speech at the SNG stadium here after a few minutes, because of a sore throat.

Before stopping, Advani, addressing the rally as a part of his Jan Chetna Yatra against the corruption, spoke about the need to bring back the black money.

He said it appeared that the centre was not serious in tackling the menace of black money, and demanded that a white paper be issued on the subject in the next session of the Parliament.

Advani was slated to address a press conference here this morning, but it too was cancelled, apparently due to his ill-health.

The leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha and his party colleague Sushma Swaraj has arrived here and she will be accompanying Advani to his next stop, Bhopal.

From Bhopal, he will fly by a helicopter to Chhindwara from where the yatra would proceed to Nagpur.
