Maharashra's Force One chief Sanjay Saxena becomes Mumbai Crime Branch head

Saxena has worked as the chief of the Economic Offences Wing in Mumbai.

IPS officer Sanjay Saxena of the 1993 batch has been made the new Joint Commissioner of Police, Mumbai Crime Branch on Tuesday. A government resolution to this effect was issued by the Maharashtra home department earlier in the day. 

Saxena, who was until now serving as chief of elite state anti-terrorism commando unit Force One had earlier served in the state as SP Manmad, DCP in Bhiwandi and Mumbai. He had also joined CBI on deputation. 

Saxena has worked in Mumbai as the chief of the Economic Offences Wing. He was then transferred to Nagpur as joint commissioner and was later transferred to Force One.
