The incident took place in the Navi Basti area of the city, and 10 more people are feared trapped.
The search and rescue operation is underway.
The Bhiwandi Municipal Fire Brigade and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are pressed in to rescue people trapped.
"The rescue operation is ongoing. We are clearing the debris with the help from the NDRF," said DN Salvi, Chief of Fire Brigade department.
