A team of Maharashtra ATS Thursday reached Delhi, where it will visit the blast site, exchange information with investigators and ascertain any similarities between the latest terror attack in the national capital and the July 13 multiple explosions in Mumbai.
"A five-member team has gone to Delhi. Our team will visit the site and compare the probe details of the Mumbai blasts and yesterday's explosion in Delhi. In case we find any similarities, we can exchange information with each other," a senior Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) official said.
Police Wednesday released sketches of two persons, suspected of planting a bomb outside the Delhi High Court which killed at least 12 people and injured over 70.
In Mumbai, the ATS suspects that three pairs planted explosives at Zaveri Bazaar, Dadar and Opera House which killed 27 people. In case of Delhi, two men left a briefcase laden with bomb outside the court premises, police said.
ATS, along with Mumbai Crime Branch, is probing the July 13 attack, in which investigators are yet to achieve any significant breakthrough or arrest suspects.
The Delhi blast, for which Bangladesh-based terror outfit Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami(HuJI) has claimed responsibility, is being probed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Meanwhile, officials from ATS and Intelligence Bureau (IB) held a meeting here, the second since yesterday, in wake of the Delhi blast.
