Maharashtra govt appoints guardian ministers for all 36 districts, Aaditya gets Mumbai suburban, Pune goes to Ajit Pawar

Days after extending the cabinet, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday announced the names of the guardian ministers for all 36 districts of the state. While his son and Minister for Environment and Tourism Aaditya Thackeray was appointed as the new guardian minister of Mumbai suburban district, Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar became the guardian minister of Pune.

Days after extending the cabinet, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday announced the names of the guardian ministers for all 36 districts of the state. While his son and Minister for Environment and Tourism Aaditya Thackeray was appointed as the new guardian minister of Mumbai suburban district, Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar became the guardian minister of Pune.

Congress leader Aslam Shaikh, who is the minister for textile and fisheries of Maharashtra, is the new guardian minister of Mumbai city. Revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat, is Kolhapur’s guardian minister.

Sena leader and minister for urban development, Eknath Shinde, was given the responsibility of two districts — Thane and Gadchiroli, as guardian minister.
