Man arrested over kidnap threat to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter

Delhi Chief Minister’s Office received an anonymous mail on January 9 threatening to kidnap Kejriwal’s daughter

Delhi Police has arrested a man in connection with an e-mail sent to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s office threatening to kidnap his daughter. 

The man has been identified as Vikas. More details are awaited. 

Delhi Chief Minister’s Office received an anonymous mail on January 9 threatening to kidnap Kejriwal’s daughter, after which she had been given a personal security officer.

The CMO had forwarded to the mail to Delhi Police Commissioner. 

The case was handed over to the Cyber Cell of the Special Cell. A PSO was also deployed for the security of the Chief Minister’s daughter by the North District Police as the Chief Minister resides at Civil Lines.

Security was beefed up at the Kejriwal residence as further investigation was underway.
