Accusing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of being the weakest prime minister the country ever had, Bihar's deputy chief minister Sushil Modi today said he did not need to clarify that he was not a lameduck.

"If he was not a lameduck, he did not need to give a clarification before the editors of print media. He is the weakest Prime Minister in the history of the country," Modi told a BJP public rally here today.

"With a prime minister of this kind there will be no development," Modi claimed

Stating that the country was not anyone's personal property, Modi compared Singh with Bharat who ruled Ayodhya keeping Ram's wooden slippers on the throne, and said "He is just trying to make way for Rahul Gandhi to come and take over."

Ridiculing Singh's claim of honesty, Modi asked "When the entire government is reeling under corruption how can he claim to be honest?

"What kind of government is this where one minister bugs against another minister?" Modi asked.

He said in Bihar all ministers and four lakh employees had declared their assets.

On the police action in Delhi on yoga guru Ramdev, he said "This government is trying to clamp down on peaceful democratic movement and create an emergency-like situation."
