Maoists have set on fire a mobile tower of a private operator at Marpa village in Bihar's East Champaran district, police said today.
The Maoists, said to be more than two dozens in number, stormed Puri Tola in the village last night and set on fire the mobile tower, the police said.
The ultras also raised slogans to justify their ideology before making good their escape.
The service of Airtel was disrupted in the district as the controlling unit at the tower stopped functioning after the mobile tower was set on fire, they said.
Raids were being carried out to nab the Maoists involved in the incident.
