Day after withdrawing support from the Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP government in Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh hinted at major military operation in the state.

Speaking at a function in his parliamentary constituency Lucknow, the Union Home Minister broadly hinted to give more free hand to the Indian Army under the Governor’s rule to end cross border terrorism and restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The priority of the Central government is now to put an end to the cross border terrorism and establish peace in Jammu and Kashmir. The Centre will not tolerate any terror activities now in the Valley,” he warned to Pakistan and terror groups.

The Union Minister claimed that the Centre stood to its promise during the holy month of Ramzan but now it’s over and the security forces will launch a massive operation to wipe out terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir.

“Ramzan is over and our forces are ready to take on with terror groups with all its might. We have only one goal – no more terror activities in the troubled state now,” said he.

After holding a high-level security meet in Delhi on Tuesday, the Union Home minister hinted that a major military operation is in the offing in Jammu and Kashmir to check cross border terrorism and flush out terrorists who have already infiltrated in the Valley with the support of Pakistan and locals.

Earlier, Singh inaugurated a laboratory in a private hospital and lauded the role of the private hospitals in the health sector to provide best medical care. He claimed that about 6 crore poor families were benefited from Modi government’s health insurance schemes in Uttar Pradesh alone.

The Union home minister Rajnath Singh is on a two-day visit to Lucknow. He will be the Chief Guest during the fourth International Yoga Day being organized at Raj Bhawan on Thursday. Singh will participate in the Yoga along with Governor Ram Naik, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his Cabinet.
