In his complaint filed with the Karnataka Lokayukta Police, the 65-year-old singer alleged that Rohini Sindhuri misused state resources to illegally occupy his land in the Kenchenahalli area of Yelahanka.

In a post on X, Ali claimed that Sindhuri, her husband Sudhir Reddy, and her brother-in-law Madhusudan Reddy were involved in the illegal land acquisition through significant monetary transactions. The complaint, filed under Section 7 of the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1984, raises serious concerns about administrative misconduct and calls for an investigation into what is described as a "dereliction of duty" by the accused.
