Trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar is in news these days as her selection for IAS has sparked huge debate and her selection for the prestigious has come under huge scrutiny. It is to be noted that Puja Khedkar’s father is a retired IAS officer. The trouble for trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar started after a man identified as Vaibhav Kokat posted a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting irregularities in her appointment process. In his tweet, Vaibhav Kokat raised questions over the practices of both central and state administration.

Vaibhav Kokat is a resident of Beed district in Maharashtra. He is a former PR professional and writes on social and political issues. Kokat is quite popular on X as he has around 30000 followers. Kokat revealed that Puja Khedkar has got fake disability certificates to crack UPSC exam and become IAS officer.

According to reports, trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar also used unauthorized blue/amber lights on her private Audi car. It is to be noted that the car has now been seized by Pune Police. Puja Khedkar used a red and blue beacon along with a VIP number plate on Audi, violating the Motor vehicles Act. Additionally, she had illegally inscribed 'Maharashtra Government' on the car. The car has also been fined Rs 26,000 for a total of 21 traffic violations. Discussions on the UPSC's credibility and the efficiency of state administrations were sparked by this revelation.

Puja Khedkar case has sparked a nationwide debate over the loopholes in UPSC selection process and has opened discussions over arger problems in India's civil services.
