The reconstituted Group of Ministers (GoM) on the Bhopal gas tragedy will meet here today.On Thursday, Union information and broadcasting minister Ambika Soni has said the GoM will look into all aspects of the 1984 gas tragedy in which over 15,000 people were killed."The GoM will look at all issues, more specifically reaching out to those people who unfortunately have not got enough compensation, adequate compensation in last so many years," said Soni.Prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh had on June 14 asked the nine-member GoM headed by home minister P Chidambaram to meet and submit the report to the Cabinet within ten days.The GoM was reconstituted last week to go into a range of issues including the relief and rehabilitation of victims and their families.A district magistrate's court in Bhopal had on June 7 convicted all eight accused on grounds of negligence under Section 304 (a) for the tragedy.The court also granted bail to seven of the eight accused and released them on submission of a bond and a surety of Rs 25,000 each.
