After Speaker Haribhau Bagde directed the state government to suspend police sub-inspector Mahavir Jadhav from Shrigonda police station for breaching the privilege of MLA Chagan Bhujbal, the State Assembly was adjourned four times. Pandemonium had ensued since MLAs from various parties also talked about a breach of their privilege as MLAs in the recent past.It was an interesting scene in the State Assembly where MLAs of different parties, otherwise at loggerheads, echoed the same angry sentiments against the bureaucracy. The Speaker is due to take a call on the breach of privilege of the other members on Friday.NCP MLA Jitendra Avhad moved a breach of privilege motion in the State Assembly and told the House that a PSI from Shrigonda police station went to Bhimram Nalage's house on June 8, 2018, and misbehaved with women in the House. Avhad told that after beating the family and Nalage, the PSI also abused Chagan Bhujbal in his absence. Avhad said Jadhav was drunk and had breached the privilege of Bhujbal.While Bhujbal read out the abuses hurled at him by the PSI, other members backed him and demand that Jadhav is immediately suspended. Speaker Bagade directed the government to do the same on Thursday itself.Sena MLA Nagesh Patil Ashtikar, Rajesh Kshirsagar, Deepika Chavan, Bacchu Kadu, Sanjay Shirsat, Chandradeep Narake, Sharad Sonawane, Nitesh Rane aired their grievance against the bureaucracy. Members narrated incidences when government officials had insulted them. Ashtikar played an audio clip on his mobile, where cops are heard abusing him. Kshirsagar told that IPS officer Jyotipriya Singh insulted him and filed a molestation case against him during a procession.Bachhu Kadu who was punished for seven months for getting into an altercation with a government official, questioned the state, asking: "The government is not run from Vidhan Bhavan but from the Mantralaya. When Mantralaya officials and staff staged demonstrations against me, why did the government not file cases against them? This kind of behaviour is not allowed inside the Mantralaya.
