The very core of Gujarat’s governance will retreat to Kutch’s Dhordo village, on December 4, to discuss strategies to alleviate the suffering of the poorest people in the state. The deliberations at the conclave will be presided over by chief minister Narendra Modi.
Other participants will include the members of Modi’s entire cabinet; around 80 senior IAS officials — led by chief secretary D Rajagopalan — all additional chief secretaries; principal secretaries; secretaries; and joint and deputy secretaries.
To reach the venue of the annual Chintan Shibir at Dhordo, the government notables will leave early on December 4 in seven specially chartered air-conditioned luxury buses. Nobody will be allowed to travel in their private vehicles.
Modi; health & tourism minister Jaynarayan Vyas; and senior bureaucrats like principal secretary Maheshwar Sahu have been in Kutch since December 1 to promote the Rannotsav.
