Delayed by over a fortnight, the South-West monsoon arrived in some parts of the state as Udaipur and Kota received heavy rains since last night, met officials said today.
With moderate showers, Udaipur received 4.2 cm and Kota 3.2 cm of rainfall. they said.
While Jhalawar recorded the maximum rainfall of 7 mm, Bharatpur received 5mm, followed by Sawaimadhopur and Mount Abu 3mm each.
Jaipur and Ajmer received rainfall of 1 mm each.
North-west regions of Jodhpur, Barmer, Jaislamer, Bikaner, Churu and Sikar are yet to receive the season's first rain spell.
Monsoon clouds would be active in other parts of the state in the next 24 hours, a forecast said.
