Monsoon showers finally hit Delhi-NCR, more rainfall in next 48 hours

According to IMD, Delhi-NCR and nearby regions will witness rainfall over the weekend as the southwest monsoon is set to advance further in the coming days.

After pre-monsoon showers that hit the Delhi-NCR and nearby regions on Thursday, the monsoon is further set to advance and more rains are expected on the coming weekend in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh.

According to IMD, Delhi-NCR and nearby regions will witness rainfall over the weekend as the southwest monsoon is set to advance further in the coming days.

Weather experts have said conditions are favourable for monsoon to make an onset in the national capital in the next 48 hours.

On Thursday, few spells of light showers hit Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and other nearby regions creating water-logging problems and traffic jams in Gurugram causing difficulty to commuters. 

Meanwhile, heavy spells of rain will continue to lash states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, and southern states.
